As of 2001, the organization then known as CLGH had more than 240 members, most of whom were independent historians, graduate history students, college and university history professors, librarians and archivists, or scholars in related fields. Of CLGH’s 244 members (in October 2001), 214 (88%) live in the U.S., 16 (7%) live in Canada, 5 (2%) live in the U.K., and 9 (4%) live in Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Costa Rica, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Sweden.
Membership fees range from $US 5 for students, retirees, and the unemployed, to $US 150 for lifetime members. Members receive two newsletters per year, as well as membership on the CLGBTH email announcements list.
